KAYAK: Intermediate: Women's Leadership Paddle

  • Registering as a Kayak Paddler. Make sure you've been assessed for the skill level of this trip before registering.
  • Only select this if you have been assessed as a NBCB Kayak Trip Assistant.

Kayak: Women's Leadership Paddle, Roosevelt Circ

This paddle is a warm-up for all NBCB women in leadership - trip leaders,  trip-leaders-in-training, trip assistants, deckhands. We'll use this as a practice for leading trips this season, discuss logistics, equipment and everything else related to running a trip.  

You must be an intermediate paddler and either in leadership or plan on leading for NBCB this season.  Please inquire.  

WFT (Women Femme Transgender) and nonbinary community welcome.

  • Skill level: Intermediate (see what this means here)
  • Meet:  10:00 AM sharp at Queens Landing Boathouse - Long Island City
  • Launch Kayaks: 11 AM 
  • Return: 1 PM ish
  • Release: 1:30 PM

  • What to wear and bring

Dress to get wet, bring water, a snack, etc.

Avoid jeans or other heavy cotton clothing. Bring dry clothes in case you get wet and we have cool weather in the evening.
