Kayak: Women's Leadership Paddle, Pier 4 Picnic

This paddle is for all NBCB women in leadership - trip leaders,  trip-leaders-in-training, trip assistants, deckhands. We'll use this as a practice for leading trips this season, discuss logistics, equipment and everything else related to running a trip.  

You must be an intermediate paddler and either in leadership or plan on leading for NBCB this season.  Please inquire.  

We'll be landing on the Pier 4 Beach in Brooklyn Heights. there may or may not be food to purchase nearyby.  Bring your own or if you like let's have a potluck lunch together.

WFT (Women Femme Transgender) and nonbinary community welcome.

• Meet:  10 am sharp at Queens Landing Boathouse - Long Island City
• Launch Kayaks: 10:30 
• Slack 12 pm
• Return: 1:30 
• Release: 2:30  or 3:30 pm

• What to wear and bring

Dress to get wet, bring water, a snack, etc.

Avoid jeans or other heavy cotton clothing. Bring dry clothes in case you get wet and we have cool weather in the evening.
