On-Land Trip Assistant Training and Hang!

At this casual get together at Queens Landing, veteran Trip Assistants Allison and Julie will bring members up to speed on the new boathouse and all 'on-land' things to know when  assisting and/or being a deckhand on kayak trips.  

We'll go over equipment, how to pair someone with the right boat, fitting PFDs and paddles, radio calls, and the general workflow involved when a trip goes out...and clean up afterwards. 

This is open to existing AND aspiring Trip Assistants, Deckhands, and anyone who would like to become more familiar with the lay of the land, and the operations of an NBCB kayak trip.

Afterwards we can head to Greenpoint Beer & Ale or another spot to  enjoy the sunset.
