Kayak: Leadership Towing Practice

Let's have a fun paddle to Bushwick Inlet to practice towing. For trip assistants and deckhands. We'll practice using a long tow, short tow, contact tow (no line) and the important anchor tow for assisting a rescue in challenging conditions.

• Skill level: Intermediate (see what this means here)
• Meet:  10:30 AM sharp at Queens Landing Boathouse - Long Island City
• Launch Kayaks: 11:15 am
• Slack 12:30pm
• Return: 1:30 PM ish
• Release: 2 PM

• What to wear and bring

Dress to get wet, bring water, a snack, etc.

Avoid jeans or other heavy cotton clothing. Bring dry clothes in case you get wet and we have cool weather in the evening.
