Advanced Beginner Kayak Trip - Refine Skills in a Decked kayak

Practice skills such as land and launch unassisted, choosing LV, RV or HV kayaks, draw stroke, ruddering, speed. Optional: overcome your fear of the water with a controlled feet first hop into the water from your boat as a first step toward an (upside down) wet exit. We'll help you get back in. Paddling to Bushwick Inlet.

NOT for absolute Beginners.  No basic instruction. 

• Skill level: Beginner (see what this means here)
• Meet: 12:30 pm sharp at Queens Landing Boathouse and Environmental Center, directions are here. 
• Launch 1:30 - PAddle to Bushwick inlet and beyond if time allows
• Return & Release: 4:30pm

• What to wear and bring

Dress to get wet, and remember to bring water and a snack.   Please no jeans or other heavy cotton clothing.

Our beginner trips usually have a very active wait list - last minute cancellations or "no shows" could impact your ability to register for future trips.
