Skills & Drills on the Creek

  • Skill level:  Beginner / Intermediate (see what this means here)
  • Meet: 6:30pm
  • Container locked: 6:45pm
  • Launch: 6:45pm
  • Slack to ebb at 31st St.: 6:50 PM / Sunset:  8:24pm
  • Return:  8:45pm;
  • Release: 9pm
  • Trip leader: Thiago / thiago at madeofpeople dot org
  • What to wear and bring


* Note this trip if for those Canoe Paddler's looking to skill up, or brush up on existing skills. It isn't ideal for first timers, but we're trying to put trips up for those as well do check the calendar!

We'll stay on Newtown creek and in the safety of Whale Creek work on various skills related to steering and, boat control  for both stern and bow paddlers alike.

Depending on timing we'll take in a sunset at the Mouth of the creek before returning to land.
