KAYAK: (almost Intermediate) Outlet to the Inlet

This trip to the once-bucolic and accessible-only-by-boat Bushwick Inlet  is designed for paddlers who have paddled with us before, pretty much got the skills down (tracking, forward stroke), maybe using a deck boat (with a cockpit) for the first time or getting more comfortable in a deck boat.  In other words, this isn't a pure Beginner trip.  If you haven't paddled with us and/or feel confident about paddling in the river (current, waves, etc.), this is NOT the trip for you. 

• Skill level: Beginner (see what this means here) WITH THE CAVEAT THAT THIS IS A PRE-INTERMEDIATE trip.
  
• Meet: 9:00 AM sharp at Queens Landing in LIC, directions are here.
• Low Slack is 10:47am at 19th St. Pier
  
• Return around 11:30am

• What to wear and bring

Dress to get wet, and remember to bring water and a snack.   Please no jeans or other heavy cotton clothing.
