  • Registering as a Kayak Paddler. Make sure you've been assessed for the skill level of this trip before registering.
  • Only select this if you have been assessed as a NBCB Kayak Trip Assistant.
Registration is closed
This trip is for members who want to learn the basics of kayaking: how to select your kayak and paddle, get on the water and paddle forward. Your are going to paddle a sea or deck kayak. Those paddlers who want to review these new skills are also welcome.
  • Skill level: Beginners
  • Meet:  6:00 PM sharp at Queens Landing Boathouse - Long Island City
  • Launch: 7:00 PM
  • Return and release: 8:00 PM
  • Slack: 8:21 PM Flood begins

  • What to wear and bring

Dress to get wet, bring water, a snack, etc.

Avoid jeans or other heavy cotton clothing. Bring dry clothes in case you get wet and we have cool weather in the evening.
