Kayak: Intermediate Skills: Going Nowhere Fast

We'll start by exploring Dutch Kills with a game of limbo to pass under the railroad bridge. Then we'll fight the ebb current to the Queensboro Bridge. Our reward will be floating back in time for the sunset. We may linger a bit to watch the sunset.

Intermediate Skills Required - no instruction. Paddling against the current for 45 minutes.

• Meet:  5:30 PM sharp at Queens Landing Boathouse - Long Island City
• Launch 6:00 pm
• Ebbing until  10 pm Max ebb 6:30, sunset 7:45
• Return: 8 PM ish
• Release: 8:30 PM ish

• What to wear and bring

Dress to get wet, bring water, a snack, etc.

Avoid jeans or other heavy cotton clothing. Bring dry clothes in case you get wet and we have cool weather in the evening.
