KAYAK Intermediate - Sunset Paddle

We'll paddle eastbound toward the 59th Street Bridge (aka Queensboro). We might paddle a little against the current to reach the bridge or take a break in Anable Basin depending on our collective whimsy. From there, it will be smooth kayaking: relax, float, and admire the sunset followed by a leisurely paddle back to Queen's Landing. 

This is an intermediate trip. You need to know how to choose your own boat and equipment, and be able to paddle at a moderate pace for an hour, keeping up with the group. You also must have your paddle strokes (i.e., forward, back, ruddering) for this trip. Let's have fun!

• Launch Kayaks: 5:30 PM
• Slack is 6:07 PM --> Ebb begins
• Return & Clean-up: 7:15-7:45 PM
• Release: 7:45 PM

• What to wear and bring

Dress to get wet, and remember to bring water and a snack.   Please no jeans or other heavy cotton clothing.
