CANOE: DEC/CPF Special Paddle

Registration

  • The big canoes sit about 12 each.
  • You can be beginner and register for this intermediate trip as a bow/middle paddler.
  • Must be qualified to register as a stern paddler. If there are no availabilities for bow/middle and you are not advanced, please do not register for this.

The Newtown Creek Environmental Fund grant that we won in 2011 to build a boathouse is a NYS DEC grant administered by City Parks Foundation.  We are taking some of the staff out for a paddle and a walk-through of the new boathouse.  THIS IS NOT A TRIP YOU CAN REGISTER FOR.  THIS NOTICE IS FYI.

  • Skill level: Beginner Intermediate Advanced (see what this means here)
  • Meet at 51 Ash St.: 3pm
  • Launch: 3:30 pm
  • High slack: 3pm
  • Return: 5:30pm
