No previous experience is required. We'll provide you the equipment and help you get on the water safely. We'll paddle around the wide open mouth of the Newtown Creek and into the East River, feel the current, take in the view and learn the basics of technique and boat control. EVERY NEW (to NBCB) PADDLER MUST START WITH BEGINNER PADDLES.
Dress to get wet, and remember to bring water and a snack. Please no jeans or other heavy cotton clothing.
Our beginner trips usually have a very active wait list - last minute cancellations or "no shows" could impact your ability to register for future trips.
