The bird-watching trips are back for the 2025 season! We are launching from Manhattan Avenue Street End Park! (Map.)

A low-intensity paddle on Newtown Creek focusing on finding the birds! Binoculars will be provided, or bring your own. As the tide starts to lower, it's  a great chance to see wading birds.

We'll head up the creek and see who has arrived. We'll look for black-crowned night heron, blue heron, cormorants, swans, and other local and migratory birds.

We will meet at the park and use one of our 29' Langley canoes! See them in action here! We'll also take out three- and four-seater tandem canoes so we can bring more people along.

Check back for more Friday bird-watching trips!
