Another loop around Minnahanock — The Canarsie name for  Roosevelt Island. among many others: Varcken (Hog) Island, Manning's island, Blackwell's Island, Welfare Island, and finally in 1974, Roosevelt.

Well aim for Hallet's cove where we'll stop for lunch — bring your snack, hop over to Costco for a hot dog, venture further in for the many hidden gems this corner of Astoria has to offer.

Then well roll over to the other side of Minnahanock and make our way home with the currents.
