This is an official American Canoe Association (ACA) course for the training and assessment for L2 Essentials of Kayak Touring (EKT). You have to be an ACA member to take this class. It is very inexpensive with lots of benefits.
This a comprehensive 1 day intermediate course that's strongly encouraged for trip assistants to strengthen their skills, and required for anyone advancing in the ACA, or becoming a trip leader.
Content includes intermediate kayak skills (forward stroke refinement, sweep strokes, moving sideways, bracing, edging, brace turns, stern rudder) as well as rescues (deep water rescue & self-rescues).
Spots are limited, and priority will be given to NBCB members and those who are current NBCB deckhands, trip assistants, or on the trip assistant track.

Non members: $150
NBCB Members get $30 off: $120
Current NBCB deckhands, trip assistants in training, and trip assistants get 50% off: $75
