Canoe trips launch out of Manhattan Avenue Street End (MASE) . I will add spots for bow paddlers and move people from the waitlist to the main registration as stern paddlers sign up.
Dress appropriately for the weather. We will paddle west on the East River, making it to Bushwick Inlet and maybe the Williamsburg Bridge. We might even explore the Navy Yard, depending on time.
We can review some basic strokes, draws, prys, sweeps, and maybe some steering assistance from the bow. We can look for birds in Bushwick Inlet. We can just enjoy September. They can't charge us rent if we don't land!
Come learn, brush up, or just float and take in the view.
