[Cancelled] KAYAK: Lawrence Pt & Manhattan Circ Warmup

Lawrence Point and Manhattan Circ Warmup


We're off to Lawrence Pt.  Its now a giant utility company, but this nautical chart of Hell Gate from 1851 shows the wide open space (farmland?) that used be there.

We're focused on distance on this trip.  Preference is given to anyone registered on the Manhattan circ (but off course anyone is welcome).  We'll head up the east channel of the ER at a decent pace.  Once we reach Lawrence Pt, we'll gaze out at the Brothers and Rikers Island before paddling home into the sunset.

  • Meet: 5:30pm at Queens Landing in LIC
  • Launch: 6:00pm SHARP!
  • Slack to Ebb is 7:20pm at HG
  • Return & Release: 9:00pm
