Since 2023, the last supermoon of our season has offered a great moment to get all our boats together, and take in a rare lunar shining. Let's see if we can turn it into an annual tradition!
This years full luminescence occurs a bit late (11:47pm) for a Monday night paddle. So we'll aim to launch by 8:30, enjoy a pre-peak-illumination relaxing float in mill rocks eddies around slack, and be wrapped up by 11:30 pm.
If you are relatively new to paddling, we recommend you sign up for the big canoe seats. We're looking to take out all our canoes, and invite Kayaks to participate as well!
Note it maybe quite cool by evening, so dress warm. And given the tides during a supermoon, expect the canoe launch to be below the tide line (consider water shoes, or having a change ready on land).
