Join us for this short but exciting trip where we'll warm up on a paddle to Anable Basin. After stopping for a quick water break, we'll ride the ebb back to the mouth of Newtown Creek for rolling practice, and a rescue demo with a skin on frame Greenland style kayak. Even though we won't be rolling for long, because we plan to get wet please come prepared with layers like neoprene head and hand coverings, a warm beverage, and change of clothes for when we land.
This is a waitlist managed trip, and a TL will reach out to confirm asap after reviewing conditions. This paddle is for intermediate and advanced NBCB members who have taken our Winter Paddling class and have a current Winter membership.
To paddle with NBCB during the winter, there is an additional $50/year cost.
If you borrow a club suit you must notify the TL if you see anything that needs repair, for example a rip in one a gasket or problems with the zipper.
