Kayak - Winter Paddle: Spring is REAL

Oh ye of little faith.  Crawl out of your steam-piped hibernation and out on the fire escape of adventure paddling for Spring is here!  Just to be safe, we'll still wear dry suits but Spring is HERE.  

Randalls Island Circ:  up to the legendary Bronx Kill fed by glacial melt and down the socialist bivalve of the East River.  A long paddle to shake out the blanket of bones.

This paddle is open to intermediate and advanced NBCB members who have completed our Winter Paddling class and hold a current Winter membership.

You will need to bring adequate thermal protection:
 - warm base layers (no cotton!)
- warm gloves, boots and hat.
 - Remember to pack water, or a hot drink and a snack!

• Meet: 10:30 am SHARP at Queens Landing in LIC, directions are here.
• Launch at 11a
• Slack is 12:19 pm @ Pier 19
• Return & Release: 2-ish 
• Trip leader: Dewey 
• What to wear and bring

If you borrow a club suit, please let the TL know about any damage or problems you find, like a tear in a gasket or a broken zipper. Thank you
