Help us get the big canoes in the water for 2026!

NBCB is looking for volunteers to help launch our two Langley Clipper canoes.

We will meet at the NCA building on Kingsland Ave at 9:30AM.  Everyone will be contacted the night before to confirm the details

Once we've unpacked the canoes from under their winter tarps, we will ease them into the water with the help of high tide (high tide is 9:40 AM.)

A smaller group of paddlers will take the canoes down to Ash Street where they will be installed on the docks ready for the season.

NOTE:  The water is still cold in May so if you plan to paddle, it is advised to  dress appropriately for the conditions.
