  • Open to beginner or intermediate paddlers who have not been rated to stern by an NBCB trip leader.
  • I have been rated to stern a tandem canoe by an NBCB trip leader
    (intermediate or advanced paddler)
  • This ticket type is only for canoe trip assistants who have completed canoe rescue training, can operate a marine radio, etc.

Morning Maneuvers: Mastering Canoe Bow & Stern Strokes

We will meet for an early morning skills & drills training on the Newtown Creek and take out some tandem canoes for practicing. When registering for the trip, please indicate anything in particular you would like to learn/work on using the text field that asks you to add any notes for the trip leader.

Remember to dress for the conditions, bring something warm, water and a snack.
