Trip Description
This being Pi Approximation Day (22/7), it would be nice to circumnavigate something, but alas, the currents are not in our favor and there are no islands in the creek. There is rain in the forecast during the day, but we're crossing our fingers for things to clear up by evening. Depending on our mood, we can check out Dutch Kills or spend some time practicing strokes in Whale Creek, or maybe we'll go to the mouth and see the sun set over the city.
Beginners are welcome! If you've started learning to stern, this is a good opportunity to work on your skills. Please email me if you're unsure, but would like to sign up for a stern spot, and we'll talk about whether it's appropriate.
Remember to dress for the conditions, bring something warm, water and a snack. Bring a headlamp if you have one--we'll be getting back around dusk.
