Finesse Your Forward Stroke: All sign-ups go to the waitlist first. Intermediate paddlers will be confirmed after a skills check, if space is available.

You'll be notified if you've been moved from the waitlist and registered.

This is not a class for learning the forward stroke. It's for intermediate paddlers who already have the basics and want to paddle farther and longer with greater efficiency—using better technique instead of more muscle.

We'll begin at the boathouse with a discussion and demonstration covering cadence, paddle depth, body positioning, and core engagement, followed by some chair-based practice. Then we'll head out for a short paddle against the current to put these techniques into practice on the water.

Prerequisite: You must be listed in our system as an Intermediate paddler.

  • Skill level: Intermediate (see what this means here)
