The air is getting crisp, the sun is going down earlier, and it's starting to feel like fall. But fear not! The water temperature is still in the 70s, so the paddling season continues.
This Wednesday we'll be heading west on the East River toward the Williamsburg Bridge. The launch will happen right at sunset, but we'll see the twilight over the city on our way there. By the time we turn around, it will be dark.
Once again, this will be a later trip and since it's September, please be prepared for cooler nights: bring a jacket just in case. We'll be using our lights by the end. If you have a headlamp, please bring it for extra visibility.
Remember to dress for the conditions, bring something warm, water and a snack.
