KAYAK: Beginner: Get on the water!

  • Registering as a Kayak Paddler. Make sure you've been assessed for the skill level of this trip before registering.
  • Only select this if you have been assessed as a NBCB Kayak Trip Assistant.

KAYAKS:  Beginners : Get on the water!

Tides change every six hours but your chance to get on the water and learn the skills you need to paddle on our awesome waterways is RUNNING OUT.  

  • Skill level: Beginner (see what this means here)
  • Meet:  6:00 PM sharp at Queens Landing Boathouse - Long Island City
  • Launch 6:30  pm
  • Sunset: 7:39 pm
  • Return: 8 PM ish
  • Trip leader: Dewey 
  • What to wear and bring

Dress to get wet, bring water, a snack, etc.

Avoid jeans or other heavy cotton clothing. Bring dry clothes in case you get wet and we have cool weather in the evening.
